About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Glocal Times originated in June 2005 as a web magazine published by Malmö University’s Master program in Communication for Development, based in Sweden. Sixteen (16) issues were published since then and until September 2012. In the process, the web magazine became a relevant digital reference in the field of communication for development and social change worldwide. Recognized academics, experts and practitioners from all over the world have contributed to issues 1 to 16. Glocal Times focuses on the research and practice of communication for development and social change from an interdisciplinary approach, taking into account the wider social, economic and cultural processes in which communication and media come into play.
